Warmest Robot + Warmest Human

As you all know, I have recently revamped the blog and transitioned from Blogger to Squarespace. While I was making that transition, Teri had discussed her interest in starting a blog of her own to publish product and restaurant reviews, chronicle her adventures in motherhood, and showcase her vast knowledge of craft beers and breweries.

VMworld 2017

It has been 9 years since I’ve attended VMworld. A lot has changed in the company’s portfolio. The conference is massive and has taken over the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Reflections From the Past...

I found myself reflecting on the last few years and I remembered that friends of mine over at RADIO FREE LAS VEGAS gave me author access on their blog back in 2015. I only posted one article. It was called "Emotional Tethering" and it was written immediately after one of the darkest periods in my life.

Standard Brew - Coffee Beans, Filters, Grinder, and Maker

I love coffee. I drink it black everyday. I am passionate about my coffee like some folks are about bacon, chocolate, wine, etc. Generally, every morning begins with fresh water and whole bean coffee that I grind fresh and brew. Let's Encrypt & Synology DSM 6.X

Synology DiskStations have become an indispensable tool in my work-life balance. The ability to emulate many cloud-like tools such as Dropbox, Evernote, Google Music, and Netflix, has been an invaluable tool in my tech arsenal. It has increased my flexibility and privacy, while lowering my dependency on cloud infrastructure.

Reflecting on The Recent Past

For me, the negative years all preceded it. 2013-2015 were some of my life's darkest points, in which I lost my closest family. With a different death occurring each consecutive year, I lost all three people that helped raise me: my maternal grandmother, father, and mother.

Higher Education IT Management

I have been functioning as an IT engineer, architect, and manager for over a decade in Nevada.

It has been both interesting and challenging. Often times insufficient budgets, high expectations, and a lack of formal business process and structure (ie: governance) presents extreme difficulty in meeting and continuously delivering quality services.
