Fresh look for the site and reflection

It has been several months since my last post and so much has happened with life, adventures, and my homelab that my head is spinning. I'm excited to give an updated and refreshed look to the blog. I hope you like it. I've installed a new template and layout.

It's my hope to release a series of articles this holiday season around some of this year's adventures in technology. These include how to create a seamless and hybrid homelab using free and open source tooling, as well as embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for systems management of your homelab with GitLab's CI/CD pipelines.

I'm excited to begin working on these articles and revisit some family adventures that have occurred over the last year and way back in 2021. Life just keeps changing for our family at such a high rate of speed that it has been difficult for us to make time for introspection and reflection. I'm hoping that this holiday season will afford us a much needed break from work, school, and the day-to-day grind.
