I finally made it to my goal and graduated from Western Governors University (WGU) in under a year earning both my MSITM, as well as the CAPM, Certified Associate in Project Management certification. My inner-INTP is please having finally achieved a graduate degree and a new certification simultaneously.

I loved my WGU experience and would highly recommend them for other potential students who are looking for a flexible and affordable online university that has the rigor of a traditional brick and mortar without all of the inconveniences and fees.

Yesterday, I received a wonderful email from WGU concerning my final capstone project:

This email was truly humbling. While I had aspired to achieve distinction, I had assumed that I hadn’t made the cut when my initial assessment feedback, while positive, didn’t indicate a nomination. I had shrugged my shoulders and told myself that I had given it my best and moved on to applying for graduation. As such, I was a bit shocked at receiving this email, congratulatory phone calls, and messages from my faculty advisor.

Hands down, I can not say enough about the positive experience that I had with WGU. There were a few rough edges, but it was a fantastic experience with immense support and encouragement. I’d like to thank Dr. Mary Alberici who went above and beyond to ensure my success. She was fantastic!
