John and I had an absolutely PHENOMENAL experience at Marché Bacchus. I am not sure if it was the company, the atmosphere, the food or the service, but it was simply wonderful.

I had wanted to try this place for quite awhile, but hadn’t been able to make it in. It was my turn to plan date night and I figured this would be the perfect place to take John, as we both enjoy good food and wine. It ended up being more than I imagined and we both had a fabulous time.

I love how unassuming this place is – it’s small business park in the center of an upscale residential neighborhood. When you enter, you are in the wine shop – note that they do not sell bottles of wine at the table, so if you want a bottle, take a few minutes to browse and find what you like, then take it to your table with you. You are able to purchase glasses of wine while at the table, just not full bottles.

The service was fantastic – we really liked our server and will definitely go back to see her. The food was really good as well. We started out by sharing the Bacchus platter, which is basically the house charcuterie. It was a great selection and we enjoyed everything. John had the beef tenderloin and I had the steak frites. The steak was damn near one of the best I’ve ever had and was cooked to a perfect medium rare temperature. I also ordered an extra side of the goat cheese mashed potatoes, which were crazy good. For dessert we shared a selection of gelato, as well as tiramisu. Both were fantastic and we were absolutely stuffed!

The ambiance is what really sets this place apart. You really don’t feel like you are in Las Vegas – it’s a serene feeling, on the lake watching swans float by. This is a great place for proposals – in fact, the couple at the table next to us got engaged while we were there and I have a friend who both got engaged and married (not on the same day) at Marché Bacchus. Love is definitely in the air!

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to go back! They also serve brunch and we look forward to going some weekend in the near future. If you are looking for a date night and don’t want to go to the Strip, I highly suggest Marché Bacchus. It’s unlike anything else I’ve found in Las Vegas and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! I think it’s also worth the Uber/Lyft ride from the Strip if you are visiting and want to see where the locals go.
